I also love Christmas lights. My favorite cities to admire them in are London and Stockholm...so far. Some year I want to experience Christmas in New York!

So pretty. And have you been to Torino [not that far from Florence]? I recall each street had a different light set hanging overhead ... all year round!

Torino is on my list -- perhaps for my next trip to Italy. I so enjoyed watching the Torino Olympic Games, and I can't wait to visit.

Loved the photo of the star lights!

We really love the sweet decorations and lights here in our 15th century white village in Andalucia where we are wintering for the 3rd year in a row. Very different from home but very sweet and suits the ocean views, T-shirt weather and snow capped mountains all around.

We make a big night of driving out to the huge mansions along the Detroit River and checking out the light displays there every year, swinging around through downtown Detroit and back to our side of town to check out the neighborhood displays. We've got a whole route we take, and a place we usually stop for a cajun/creole dinner.
This year, I want to try to get up to Rochester (MI). It's a suburb about a dozen miles north of me that supposedly has a great downtown light display.
Now, if only I could get some decent photos of any of it...
